Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.

O Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and He answered by setting me free.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
