You are my strength, I watch for you; you, God, are my fortress…

Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.

For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
