May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
For He says, “In the time of My favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, He devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from Him.
But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.
