Recent Promises


Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.


Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.


Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.


"Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.


He will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'


To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.


If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.


Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.


Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.


Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.


A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.


I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.


If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.


Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.


Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;


Let those who fear the LORD say: "His love endures forever."


How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!


We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.


Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.


Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
